Case design of customized supported acetabulum filler

Recently, the company received a unique case of a loose, mismatched hip replacement in a patient with a pelvis that was very different from the conventional adult pelvis, In addition, there are serious bone defects at the edge of the acetabulum. The company adopted the self-developed supporting acetabulum filling block for preoperative planning and matching simulation. Due to the particularity of host bone, the conventional supporting acetabulum filling block cannot meet the clinical requirements, no matter it can repair and fill the bone defect shape or reasonably cover and support the acetabulum cup.Based on patients' demands for recovery and reconstruction of physiological function of hip joint, combined with clinicians' special requirements for surgical programs, the design requirements of customized acetabular filling blocks for this case were sorted out, and customized acetabular filling blocks based on patients' personalized clinical requirements were developed to achieve structural repair and reconstruction of acetabular bone defects and at the same time restore the physiological function of patients' hip joint.The successful development of customized acetabulum fillers further confirms the company's ability to provide more accurate, effective and efficient clinical solutions for the clinic.(Technology Center of Guangzhou Sailong /Feng Kehan)
