Aluminum alloy has become one of the most widely used metal materials in automotive, aerospace, rail transit and other fields due to its advantages of high specific strength, high thermal conductivity, wide source and low cost. With the rapid development of additive manufacturing technology, various types of metal 3D printing technology have been used in aluminum alloy molding research and application.
At present, the 3D printing department is carrying out the self-research test of aluminum alloy forming process. After the powder scanning test and treatment, the solid melting process of 50μm thick layer and high density has been preliminarily obtained. Compared with laser melting, electron beam selective melting (EBM) of aluminum alloy has some advantages, such as it is not affected by the reflectivity, the parts show less thermal stress, and it has great advantages for the aluminum alloy grade printing which is easy to crack. In addition, vacuum conditions also reduce material oxidation, which offers great potential for the manufacture of aluminum alloys.
