Entrusted by the Southwest Hospital of AMU, Guangzhou Sailong completed the delivery of two personalized tantalum metal filling blocks last week. The HTO filler pad was used to fill and repair cases of proximal tibial high osteotomy , and hip pad is used in adolescents with DDH of the right hip and developmental hip dysplasia. The filling pads in both cases were designed with full porous structure has the advantages of large contact area, good mechanical properties and biocompatibility, and the elastic modulus is similar to that of human bone, which can ensure the stability of the prosthesis for a long time after implantation. The pads were formed using Sailong's self-developed selective electron beam melting 3D printing technology and made of tantalum, which is the most biocompatible metal among known metal materials. The printing took 14 hours and the pad was processed and delivered to Southwest Hospital on August 5. (The Production Technology Department of Guangzhou Sailong /Zheng Kaibiao)
