Basic principle
The consumable electrode is made of metal or alloy, and its end face is melted into liquid by plasma arc heating. The liquid is thrown out and crushed into tiny droplets by centrifugal force of high speed rotation of the electrode. The spherical powder is finally obtained under the action of surface tension in the process of condensation.
